DESCRIPTION:About Heritage Horizons: Europeana Project Week\nThe common European data space for cultural heritage is the European Commission’s flagship initiative to foster the creation and reuse of content in the cultural and creative sectors and accelerate the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural sector. Its achievements depend on the efforts and expertise of the data space consortium\, led by the Europeana Initiative\, but also on diverse and innovative projects which enrich and enhance the data space and cultural heritage sector. \n\nThe Heritage Horizons Europeana Project Week\, taking place from 25 – 29 November 2024\, will put the spotlight on these projects and their inspiring work. Project Week will showcase their efforts while facilitating collaboration and connection\, accelerating knowledge sharing and shaping new project opportunities. Sessions will highlight the role of digital technologies in developing the data space\, preserving and engaging with cultural heritage\, advancing social inclusion\, encouraging reuse and promoting sustainability. \n\nHow to sign up \n\nRegister for Project Week through the link below! DESCRIPTION:For its 10th anniversary the Digital Library\, organised by the University of Graz and Europeana Local is inviting you to Graz\, Austria! \nTo mark the 10th anniversary\, the 2024 conference looks back and into the future. Which topics continue to accompany us\, which issues have been resolved\, what new challenges do we face now and in the near future? Can the developments of recent years serve as a guide for future concepts and approaches? The aim of the event is to provide a platform for professional exchange and establishing new networks. \nMain topics of the conference “Back (and) to the future” are: \n– Technology: Established and cutting edge (e.g. AI\, machine learning\, …)\n– Networks: Cooperations\, partnerships\, working together nowadays…\n– Sustainability: How do we preserve knowledge? – What happens to knowledge/know-how that is not digitally available? – Can knowledge be “secured” – is it verifiable?
