#NamePlaceFund Campaign

The EU is deciding how €409 billion for research, innovation and competitiveness will be spent over the next seven years through Horizon Europe and the new European Competitiveness Fund, and culture has been almost entirely left out. The Commission’s proposal gives culture no dedicated home, and the Parliament’s position downgrades it to a “horizontal principle.” The #NamePlaceFund campaign, coordinated by MCA and other 9 organizations, is mobilising the cultural sector to demand three things: NAME culture in a programme window, PLACE it with a dedicated budget line, and FUND it with €5 billion in Horizon Europe and €3 billion in the ECF.
