In 2020 the IIIF & Europeana Working Group was set up in response to a call made during the Europeana Aggregators’ Forum meeting in autumn 2019, where aggregators expressed interest in training materials and tools around IIIF. This Working Group helps to steer the ongoing collaboration between the Europeana Initiative and International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF).
OpenUp! is part of the Working Group and has contributed to the activities with the creation of two self-paced online courses (IIIF image conversion, IIIF Manifest Creation) now available in the Europeana Academy. The courses are accompanied by a quarterly trainer-led online seminar.
