EUscreen Symposium April 2026: Reframing Openness – Empowering Authenticity and Reuse in Audiovisual Heritage

The annual EUscreen Symposium takes place on 8 and 9 April in Warsaw, Poland. It is organised and hosted by EUscreen and Filmoteka Narodowa Instytut Audiowizualny (FINA).

The Symposium will focus on how, in a rapidly evolving social and technological landscape, film and audiovisual heritage institutions face urgent questions about how to preserve the authenticity of the archive and its collection while embracing openness, innovation, and reuse. This symposium will bring together professionals, scholars, rights experts, technologists, and community practitioners to explore critical intersections between archival integrity, public access, and participatory practices.
